Drop in art group + workshops trending idea

Find a suitable space ( like the empty Richardson shops) that could become a thriving arts hub running workshops, drop in art social time/cup of coffee, small exhibition space. My hope would be to acquire a grant to pay someone to facilitate workshops, for example pay a practicing artist to run a workshop with a group of say 10 participants. Promotion of local Buy Nothing Groups

There are a number of successful Buy Nothing Project  groups in Tuggeranong, these comprise of a few suburbs, so super local, where people can offer or request items at no cost and with no conditions.  it would be great to get the word out about these great groups so people can choose if they want to join them.  Also promoting the great things in the suburbs like Lil' Street Libraries, community pantries and Repair Cafe... more »

Singing groups for people who work during the week

I think it would be lovely to have singing groups for people who work. There are lots of groups for people who have retired etc but none that I know of for those that work.

Singing is such a lovely therapy/past time, we should do more of it. It could also meet some peoples need for socialisation as well.

Free workshops by local businesses that helps them get their name out and known to the local community, while doing an act of kindness for the people in the local area. For example, if there's a local tax agent, they can do a free 30 min tax seminar that covers basics of Individual Tax Returns, helping out individuals while getting them to know about their business and "pitching" their business to them. A Tuggeranong-wide book club where each month/fortnight there's a meeting in a different suburb in Tuggeranong - you not only get to explore new books and discuss them with the book club members but also get to go out into different suburbs, meet people outside of your local area, and make new connections across the Tuggeranong community.
